Depending on the strain, quality, and harvest time..I beg to differ. I have had some really primo shake over the last year that was over 25% THC and still had some major trichomes going on through out the bag. I still get to enjoy the amazing taste and effects of the strain at a much cheaper price.
First thing to know about shake: shake can dry out much faster than your buds. If you store your stash for too long and you keep it at the very bottom of the jar, the material gains more surface area. This, in turn, makes it oxidize much faster than usual. -Every dispensary has different prices, strains, and processes for cultivating shake. Some dispensaries sell shake that is a mixture of a whole bunch of strains, or what we call "salad". Be sure to ask what you are getting.
-The strains and amount are dependent on what flower we currently have in stock. Some dispensaries carry some roll your own brands that specifically package shake/rolling papers.
-I've seen shake that has some decent lil nugs
-If you are looking for shake, always ask!! My dispensary doesn't advertise it. Shake is almost like a secret menu item! (Most of our regular customers have already figured this out!!)
- Go Early!!! We open at 7am. Regardless of how much shake we have, it is usually gone by noon.
There are several things you can do with shake besides smoke it.
-make edibles or cannabis infused recipes
-infuse alcohol, tea, or other drinks
-make lotions, creams, salves, and more
(remember to always decarboxylate your shake first)
Lastly, if you buy a lot of shake and need to store it. The best way to preserve it for later use is in an airtight jar in a cool, dry, and dark place.
